ELICK FAMILY FILMS....

2008 "The Uninvited"... He felt left out from Chowda fest. So what does Brother Raymondo do? He devised his own fun at Red Lobster...

Jakes plant cell movie One of Jake's homework assignments was to produce a project that described plant and animal cell parts. So, he and I got together and wrote a script...Then we invited the entire family to represent the plant cell parts within the cell (the house)....

2008 River Party OLYMPIC YEAR movie Here's another river party movie. You've enjoyed the first four, so here's the fifth!

I used my leica camera to take the video in these two movies. There were shot during the summer when Raymondo and his sons Joe and Josh visited...
summer 2008 part 1
summer 2008 part 2

2008 Saint Patrick's Day Parade- Scranton- Thanks Tom and John and all for the fun party! I hope you enjoy this film...just finished it this evening...

1916-1942 House on the Hill.mov
...Here is the film that features photographs from the Burns' photo album. It plays to Doris Day singing "Sentimental Journey".

1930-1940s more from the black album.mov...
Here are the other photographs from the "black" Burns album. They are not the greatest but I made an additional film featuring them...

1942 Carrigg wedding.mov...
Here are the photos from Grandmom and Grandpop's wedding  album. They play to a Billie Holiday song...

1967-1987 Carrigg Anniversary parties.mov...Here is a glimpse into the past from the 25th anniversary party (at the house on the hill) and the "50th" anniversary party (at Aunt Marge and Uncle Fred's house).

2007 Everything's coming up roses...
This movie is composed of clips from a 2006 Denver Elick trip to Cape May, a 7/7/07 birthday party for Matt Dewees, and some miscellaneous clips of Jennifer participating in various racing events.

2007 Where's the Beef?...
This movie features our brother Beef Stu, cooking and preparing feasts for all of his family. It plays to "Hey, Hey, Good Looking" by Boxcar Willie. Stu use to sing this song all of the time back in the late 70's.

2007 Making Bohena's Boat
This movie shows how I made my kayak "The Poinson Ivy" in my apartment. It's mostly composed of still pictures with a minor amount of video.

2007 Some movie clips of Mom...
This short video features super 8 and video clips of Mom from 1966 to 1995. It plays to "Everything I own" by Bread.

2007 shiver at the river.mp4 Here is the movie from the river party this year. I tried to include everyone...I did this albeit unequally...This isn't my best work but I tried my best. Enjoy!

Launching the Oil Slick.mov
Thanks to a bunch of friends from CPRA, I was able to launch my new rowing boat. Enjoy this movie! We had fun at our picnic and made a memory I will keep until early onset kicks in...special thanks to Bev for recommending I launch at the picnic, Colleen for taping the event, Portland for his guidance and coaching, and Jim and Jim for help carrying the boat.

2005 making a spectacle.mov
I just finished watching this movie and thought that I must share this with the rest of the world...Listen to the lyrics of the music and watch my family as they make their way through the Bloomsburg Fair. I think you will agree, we were a bit silly! Read the signs that we stand in front of too...

2007 St Pat's Day Parade. mov
Here is a little flick from the St. Patrick's Day parade in Scranton. This movie is only part one....I did not have time to complete the rest of the film. Perhaps I will finish it next week or the week after...

2006 River party.mov
I wanted this movie to include photos from the summer flooding event that followed only 2 days after the  party, BUT I don't have the patience to wait to see if those photos still exist (from Rayfactor) and well, I'm ready for warmer weather. If you remember, the water level from the river rose well above the height of anyone standing on the grass and nearly as high as the second floor of the house shown in the movie! Enjoy...the end is choppy because I just bundled everything together to finish it! PS...the movie is  6 mins long and 12 MB; it may take some time to load with a slower internet connection....Who's up for River Party 2007????

Believe it...OAR not.mov
It's here!!!! This is the final movie of my trilogy in the Concept 2 erg/oar contest. Some of my rowing friends and I filmed it in 14 degree weather this past weekend. Do you need to be amused???? Watch this!!! We had fun making it!!! -which could have been a movie all by itself....Will we win the contest with this video??? Who knows???!!! But at least we were out there, in the competition. I like this movie most of all. And if you work for the Selinsgrove Police Department, just ignore what you see and keep surfing....there's nothing to see here!!!!

2007 Groundhog Day.mov
...Here's a movie from the festivities in Punxsutawney, PA.  What a festival!!! If you enjoy a good Pennsylvania Polka, check out this film...I shake a little because of the crowds and pushing but also because I found it difficult to hold the camera over my head for long periods of time. ENJOY!

2005-2006 main events
I just finished the remake of the "2005-2006 The Main Events" movie....(The original version shown at the 2006 River Party was erased when my hard drive fatally crashed.). Since I purchased a new hard drive (1.2 TB!!!), a little Christmas gift to myself, I have been able to work more on producing new videos. It may take some time to download if you have a slow internet connection....

2007 elicks thru time.mov Here's another fun film featuring all of us thru time- mostly photos, super eight and video footage. The movie plays from oldest to youngest...

2004 river party for web.mov I accidentally erased the 2004 River Party video about a year ago and so, this weekend when I sat down with my box of tissues and NyQuil, sniffling and sneezing, I decided to redo the whole thing. I started my work trying to make a copy of the original, but then decided I'd like to try something different. I changed the song, which made the movie about a minute longer, and I added more, and shorter clips....so here it is....

Maestro New.mov plays to "Make your own kind of music" by Cass Elliot (2:24 mins.). This new addition features the costumes and flamboyant nature of Grandpop. I think you will like it!!!!

1974 Jersey Shore.mov Some of our best memories as children are tied to vacation at the Jersey Shore, and this film captures some of them; I've set it to the Beach Boys song "Come with me"...and I've edited the movie so you only see beach scenes- so it's shorter than usual...yes, you will not see Stu sucking on a chicken leg, the boys waiting for the school bus, or me trying to lift a pumpkin....What you will see is John chasing after his bucket, Mom and the boys jumping the waves, and Maestro holding Stu. This film is a little light (& lacks color)and needs to be be re-digitized, but for now, it works well, reminding us that some of us need to take a trip to the beach soon!!!! And needless to say, I look as cute as ever....but so do all of my brothers!

1972 Christmas.mov This is a cute film from Christmas in all of our houses starting with the Elick children celebrating Christmas in Osterhausen, moving to the house on the Hill with the Carriggs, and finally, spending the holiday in Georgetown. The movie is just over 3 mins long and features the Linus and Lucy song....There are a few parts where they lighting is not the best....

1974.mov 1974 was a great year for the Elick family. Here is a long lost film that our family hasn't seen in about 20 years!!! It was lost behind a closet and was only recently found during a housecleaning. In fact, I can't remember ever seeing it myself- until now!....In 1974, Stu was born and brought home from the hospital. I was just turning 3, John had just celebrated his 4 th birthday, and Rosemary is caught on film mowing the lawn...It's a nice peak into our childhood....Watch for John roller skating and kids riding bicycles and pulling wagons....Note- I didn't even bother to edit the film- it runs pretty well on it's own...turn your speakers up- it plays to a song from "the Cars".

Osterhausen.mov Film for Osterhausen was collected from 2004-2005. Music:  "Our House"
by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young This film represents the "grown-up" Elick clan generally doing things we love: cooking, playing with fire and hitting objects with clubs...It's a melange of clips from various family functions.

1967 The calm before the storm.mov Film was collected during Christmas time from the house on the hill and the Elick houses in Georgetown and Osterhausen, respectively. Music: "When you're smiling" by Louis Armstrong With this particular film, you'll notice that the Osterhausen house is much smaller than it is today. Though this film does show family members, Ramsey, the Elick's first dog, is featured as well. You'll note my title "1967 The calm before the storm" represents the period before the kids begin to show up...

2006 St Patrick's Day Parade.mov  Music: "All for me Grog" by Scurvy Bastards, "When Irish eyes are smiling" by Tom Cipriano, and "Wild Rover" by The Clancy Brothers
